Director

Graeme Kennedy

Having successfully owned and operated several multi-trade, minor works and refurbishment businesses in both the UK and Australia, Graeme has over 30 years industry experience and is currently Director and Key shareholder of AWB Co.
As a driven individual, committed to achieving results which go above and beyond customer expectation, Graeme has developed a keen interest in access modifications and improving the quality of life for those with physical challenges.
Graeme oversees the maintenance and minor works divisions of AWB and ensures that supervisors and managers are meeting contract obligations inclusive of KPI’s, proven Value for Money and outstanding service delivery.
Director

Nick Stock

Nick has been in the construction and building industry for more than 25 years and has a wealth of experience and knowledge within the industry and is currently Director and Key Shareholder of AWB Co.
Nick’s main responsibility as AWB Co.’s Projects Director, is overseeing the entire projects team including, the administration of contracts, Supervisors, Contract Administrators, trades personnel and contractors. Nick has successfully delivered many government, private and not-for-profit projects. His strong customer focused proactive management skills, strong attention to detail, and his commitment to achieving results for the client has delivered many low, medium and high expenditure projects throughout WA and Victoria which has earned him the reputation of delivering projects on time, within budget and according to specification.
Nick’s outstanding work has been recognized by the Master Builders Association WA with ‘Excellence in Energy Efficiency under $5M Award’ for the construction of Perth Zoo Eco Toilet Block and the award for ‘Best Commercial Building under $10M’ for the Construction of ABC Radio Studio in Broome.
Director of Operations

Vaughan Graham

Vaughan has invaluable experience in business operations and customer service-related positions gained from previous and current positions alike.
As the Director of Operations in AWB, Vaughan has vast experience in business operations and customer service-related positions within the building industry. Vaughan’s leadership skills motivate, lead and mentor the senior management team to their fullest potential, ensuring the effective running of the day-to-day operations.
Vaughan also develops and implements the company’s systems, procedures and processes as well as monitors and reports on the sales and performance management of operational teams to drive optimum performance results.
His attention to detail and ensuring safety regulations are adhered to and met, and that all staff go ‘Safely Home in One’ and without incident.
Senior Project Manager

Nathan Johnson

Nathan has over 15 years’ experience in the Building and Construction industry. Launching his career as a carpenter, Nathan gained valuable experience working on various domestic and commercial projects developing a reputation for his attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Nathan has gained over 15 years’ experience and with his wealth of knowledge, he oversees projects ranging from $5,000 to $1.5m in value. Due to the exposure in the industry from both a client and operational perspective, Nathan is well equipped to handle the day to day running of projects that includes estimations, management of building projects, project budgets and cost management whilst continuing to develop subcontractor, employee and supplier relations.
As a self-motivated and hardworking individual with a commitment to both his customers and the delivery of projects, Nathan applies his technical expertise to an array of commercial and domestic based projects ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget and in accordance to client requirements and specifications.
Business Support Manager

Laura Bucur

With over 18 years of international experience, Laura has been exposed to the Building and Construction, Oil & Gas and Mining industries in both major and minor projects.
As AWB’s Business Support Manager, Laura oversees several departments within the company inclusive of HSEQ, HR, IT, Facilities, Contract & Tenders and Marketing. Laura also assists Managers and Supervisors across all areas of the business to ensure efficient operations of the office environment.
Laura oversees the tender development process including bid writing, design and creation, leading and motivating the tendering team to ensure timely submission of multiple tenders, liaising with stakeholders, suppliers and subcontractors. This requires a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail and organizational awareness. Laura’s ability to influence this process provides real value to the business.
Laura’s key strengths are in time management, prioritisation, internal and external stakeholder management and being outcome oriented.
Her inclusive management style has been able to produce excellent team members under her guidance and coaching and Laura believes in driving an authentic and collaborative culture within the Business Development team.
Contracts Services Manager - Facility Services Department

Mark Speakman

Mark is a qualified plumbing contractor and gas fitter with over ten years of industry experience, including the completion of more than 3000 projects with AWB.
Mark is AWB’s Contracts Services Manager and will oversee all operational delivery within the Facility Services Department driving profitability, client satisfaction and operational efficiency. He will manage, motivate and lead internal Supervisors, Schedulers and Leads to deliver on key client contract objectives with a focus on driving client satisfaction and relationships.
Mark will drive the strategic direction of the Facility Services Department, whilst achieving sales and gross profit targets for the business within his team. He will assist AWB in creating and driving business opportunities, whilst also achieving growth within the existing client base.
Service Delivery Manager

Sheryl Lambert

With over 12 years building industry experience, Sheryl is a results driven individual with a dedication to customer service and has developed a reputation for going above and beyond customer expectation.
As AWB’s Service Delivery Manager, Sheryl oversees all AWB reactive and preventative maintenance contracts, inclusive of all staff, service delivery, resourcing, KPI compliance and financial reporting within the department.
In this role, Sheryl leads and motivates internal leaders, schedulers, administrators and tradespeople to ensure operational efficiencies are a central focus in the Service Delivery division.
Senior Finance Manager

Shuling Zheng

Shuling has over 10 years financial experience, of which 6 are in the building services and maintenance industry.
In her role as Senior Finance Manager, Shuling is committed to working with the operational team overseeing the financial requirements of projects, contract cost management, offering financial advice on projects, undertaking cash flow analysis and all financial reporting to management. Shuling meets with the Directors on a fortnightly basis to discuss all financial performance.
Shuling also supervises all of Accounts payable and receivable whilst developing and improving accounting policies and procedures.
Contracts Services Manager - Facility Services Department

Colin Fraser

Colin has over 30 years of experience in the construction and building industry having started his career as a qualified carpenter.

Colin Harrison

Colin has work experience that spans across 2 continents covering different systems and procedures of installation.
Colin is one of AWB’s Contracts Services Supervisors and is responsible for quoting and supervising projects simultaneously up to approximately $100,000 in value. He will supervise internal trades and external subcontractors to deliver various minor works across multiple trade disciplines.
In his role Colin will supervise various contracts for service delivery in accordance with Contract KPI's & the client expectations of your role. This includes arranging all stages of project delivery including: Scoping and pricing, advice and guidance to client on scope, allocation of works and setting schedule, monitoring onsite safety and compliance, ensuring completion of works to quality standard, handing over project to client and then managing any defects of works.

Toby Taylor

With over 20 years’ experience, Toby has a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of project work and a broad skill set to underpin this knowledge. Toby is a highly driven and results focused professional with a passion for the industry.
Toby is one of AWB’s Contracts Services Supervisors and is responsible for quoting and supervising projects simultaneously up to approximately $100,000 in value. He will supervise internal trades and external subcontractors to deliver various minor works across multiple trade disciplines.
In his role Toby will supervise various contracts for service delivery in accordance with Contract KPI's & the client expectations of your role. This includes arranging all stages of project delivery including: Scoping and pricing, advice and guidance to client on scope, allocation of works and setting schedule, monitoring onsite safety and compliance, ensuring completion of works to quality standard, handing over project to client and then managing any defects of works.
Operations Supervisor - Facility Services Department

Georgia Stopard

Georgia has over 5 years industry experience and will oversee, lead and motivate facility services administrators and schedulers by assisting with any technical knowledge and guidance on job management.
In addition, Georgia will focus on training and development within the Facility Services Team across the Service Delivery and Contract Services Departments. Her role will look at operational items including overdue jobs, defects, job losses and compliance with company processes and looks for opportunities to improve.
Georgia will provide operational support to all Facility Services Team members including administrators, techs and supervisors around general processes and procedures.
Project Manager

Craig Glendining

Craig joined AWB in September 2020 and brings with him a wealth of experience from his 20+ year career in Project Management and Supervisor roles. Craig is a client focused problem solver, ensuring budgets and safety processes and procedures are adhered to. His “value add” approach to his work and service to internal and external clients alike, makes him the perfect fit for AWB.
Craig’s previous experience has seen him be responsible for a multitude of duties associated with the management of multi-million dollar commercial redevelopments, refurbishments and fit out projects, ensuring that accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail are of utmost importance.
His passion for the building sector recently combined with his personal life when he took on the challenge and successfully completed an owner/builder subdivision of his personal residence involving partial demolition, rebuild and subsequent rectification works.
Project Manager

Nathan Edwards

Nathan started his career in the UK in Carpentry and Joinery and now has over 20 years experience in project management roles. He has vast experience including working on cruise ships, bars, chain stores, boats, nightclubs, shopping centres, universities and more in both management and ‘on-the-tools’ experience.

As an addition to AWB Co’s project division, Nathan will be joining the team as a project supervisor. He will be overseeing all the details of project management including procurement, scheduling, estimating and site supervision.

Nathan is an enthusiastic and goal driven professional with high levels of personal motivation. All projects are undertaken with confidence, a positive approach and an excellent team spirit – the perfect fit with AWB.

Project Supervisor

Graeme Wishart

Graeme recently joined AWB Co. as a Project Supervisor with over 30 years of experience in the industry and 10 years as a Commercial Supervisor.
Graeme’s previous experience allows him to facilitate and organise staff and team members to work in collaboration and an enjoyable environment. His knowledge allows advanced planning of Minor Works, Maintenance schedules to include seasonal change as well as periodic variation in line with school holidays and breaks.
In his role as Project supervisor with AWB, Graeme brings strong project supervision over multiple sites. He co-ordinates services and contractors to facilitate all works carried out within agreed timelines and minimal disruption to operation with a strict adherence to Worksafe practices as well as OH&S regulations.

Susan Bokas
