In 2016 AWB Building Co. was engaged to undertake a comprehensive accessible modification to a private residence in IIuka.
The works included demolition and significant structural changes. AWB was engaged from design stage through to completion. Close consultation with the client took place to create a welcoming and fully accessible bath and bedroom. The works included modifications to existing rooms, creating a fully accessible bathroom and bedroom area connected by a ceiling hoist. Structural beams were installed to support the new ceiling hoist, as well as various modifications ensuring sufficient support is lent to the new wall structures.
